The Community Church

Coronavirus – COVID-19

With the situation concerning Coronavirus is changing rapidly on a daily basis, this page will contain all of our latest information as we seek to love God and to serve our community in the weeks to come.

All face-to-face meetings are back

Following the advice from the government, we are meeting once again every Sunday morning at both sites. However, you are free to wear a mask if you prefer.

How will church work?

Our elders and church teams are working on creative plans to ensure we stay connected in a meaningful way.

If you are not connected to our church emails, please do be in touch with office@thecommunitychurch.co.uk to make sure you’re kept up-to-date. We have also set up groups on Facebook to keep up to date with updates and interact with other members of the church.

Video of the sermon on Sundays

We are aiming to deliver all our Sunday sermons digitally every week. The video sermon will be uploaded to our website by Wednesday.

An unchanged mission

Although as a church we may have to function differently in the current situation, the mission of the church remains the same. The tools and environments may differ to our usual methods, but let us keep our focus on God and look for ways to care for the vulnerable in our communities. Let us to as much as we can to be a light in this ever-changing situation.

One way is to visit people in our community. Many are finding a very warm response to people offering help and support, particularly the elderly. This simple postcard can be made and printed as a way of reaching out. Click here for a printable pdf with four cards.

We recommend that all necessary precautions are taken when interacting with vulnerable people. You can see the NHS advice here – www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19.
